About this tracker.

WHY IT EXISTS

Numbers with their limits left visible.

Launch days attract big numbers and bigger hot takes. This site exists to put the launch record, the live Steam population, and review sentiment in one place — with each figure labeled by what it actually measures and when it was captured. A peak is a moment; a snapshot is a moment; neither is a verdict.

If you take one thing from this site: compare like with like. Concurrent with concurrent, launch peak with launch peak, Steam with Steam.

PRIVACY

What we store (very little).

This is a static site with no accounts and no server-side tracking of your visits beyond standard analytics if enabled. Session player observations are stored only in your own browser using local site storage, and the "Clear history" button on the player count page removes them instantly. No personal data ever leaves your browser to us.
